The Heyligers Violin House is situated on Via Bissolati, within walking distance of Cremona's historic town center. Set in the quiet inside-courtyard of a building which dates back to the 1800s, it provides the proper atmosphere for both violin making and violin playing. A separate audition room, completely separated from the workshop, allows the player to try instruments out in a relaxed and acoustically favorable atmosphere. Mathijs Adriaan Heyligers, himself a musician, is well aware how important this is for the right choice of an important instrument.

New instrument making is made in the classic Cremona
tradition, with special emphasis placed on sound quality and ease of
playing.
All woods used, on both Heyligers Cremona and the superior Heyligers Master
instruments, are seasoned at least 20 years and come from Mr. Heyligers private
wood stock collection.

The Heyligers Violin House is also quite active in
instrument restoration. Clients from all over Italy come to have their
instruments restored and sound-adjusted.

|
Precise sound-adjustment is a renowned Heyligers specialty, on his new instruments as well as antique ones. |
